Lechem Panim (Bread of Surfaces)
The SHULCAN (table) is a great treasure of the Tabernacle. On the days of the moed
(appointed times), the table would be brought outside the Tabernacle and placed before the entire congregation. The priesthood would then proclaim a great blessing
upon all who looked upon it's beauty. "Behold how this table is able to supply every
need according to the richness of HIS GLORY" (presence). Once a week each tribe of
the nation of ISRAEL would bake a specially prepared loaf to be placed on the table.
It was very important that each loaf be placed immediately in the place of the old one
so that there would be no absence of bread upon this table. The one week old loaf of
bread that was removed would then be distributed among the priesthood as a
provision in their service. A piece the size of a bean was all a man could consume.
As he received the piece, if there was any lack in his life, instantly it was restored.
If he was sick, instantly he was healed. Miracles were present in the HOLY
PLACE as the priesthood served in their duties. This bread was always warm and fresh
even after one week. The bread of HIS presence is truly the witness of the ONE who would
be sent from HEAVEN as the presence and BREAD OF LIFE.
